Bedroom design

In this project, we were asked by our client to Design a space in a Grade II listed house in Cambridgeshire. This particular space is a unique and challenging endeavour that requires a deep appreciation for history, architecture, and a keen sense of contemporary design. It's clear that a thoughtful and meticulous approach was taken in this project to create a harmonious blend of old and new, resulting in a beautiful, charming, calming, and unique bedroom. Here are some aspects that contributed to the success of this design: This project required a specialized understanding of historical preservation, architectural regulations, and the unique challenges that come with working on heritage properties. Respect for Heritage: Maintaining respect for the age and historical significance of the building is paramount when dealing with Grade II Listed properties. Preserving original architectural elements, such as exposed beams, antique fixtures, or unique structural features, while ensuring their structural integrity, is a key part of the design. Contemporary Integration in Interior Design: Our Interior Designers Achieved a balance incorporating contemporary style within a traditional setting. This involved the use of modern materials, furnishings, and design elements that complement, rather than compete with, the existing character of the space.

Material Selection: At Pinterior.space, our Interior designers considered carefully the selection of materials. Choosing materials that reference the past but also feel fresh and modern is an art. For example, using reclaimed wood for flooring or beams can maintain a historical connection while adding a touch of warmth to the space. Furniture and Furnishings: The choice of furniture and furnishings can bridge the gap between old and new. Mixing antique or vintage pieces with modern ones can create a visually appealing contrast. Upholstery and textiles can introduce contemporary patterns or colours while complementing the overall aesthetic.

In this bedroom design Colour Palette, our Interior designers respected the wishes of the client as well as achieving the desired atmosphere. Our design brief was all about how we could create a soft, calming colour scheme that created a tranquil and inviting bedroom. A well-chosen colour palette ties together the traditional and contemporary elements seamlessly.
